The Last Condiment You Will Ever Need!
What do you get when you mix this,
You get a little touch of amazing!
Here is how to make it work!
First, gather all your ingredients:
- As many avocados as you want
- Sriracha hot chili sauce
- Lemon juice
- Sazon Goya Seasoning Packets (optional)
- Other seasonings (optional)
Second, cut all the avocados in half, remove the pits and skins and place all the avocados in a bowl. I pulled half of one avocado to the side so my 6-year-old and 2-year-old didn’t have to eat the spicy stuff (they absolutely LOVE avocados, but don’t care much for the spiciness of the Sriracha).
I leave the avocados as whole as possible when initially placing them in the bowl. We will be stirring and smashing later and I like to have full control of the chunkiness of the avocados at the end.
Third, Put your mustard and sriracha on top of the avocados. I have no clue what the measurement is, I recommend you go easy though. You can always add more, it is exceedingly difficult to take it back out. Here is a picture of what mine looked like.
I messed up the first couple times I made this delicious concoction by adding too much mustard or sriracha. It is a waste of expensive and delicious avacados. Remember you can always add more.
Fourth, splash some lemon juice on there (maybe half a TBSP, more to taste). The lemon juice helps keep it from getting brown and adds a little freshness to the mix. If you are inclined to add other seasonings this is the time to do it. I prefer mine with just these ingredients added. A couple of people I have given this recipe to have modified it with Sazon Goya Seasoning packets (which are amazing) or even seasoning salt. Experiment!
Fifth, time to stir and mix. Just stir it up and smash those bad boys until it is well mixed and the desired consistency.
I have found that using a large table spoon yields the best results. I like my avocados chunky, and using the edge of the spoon allows me to chop the super large pieces into tinier pieces. I use the flat of the spoon to smash some of the pieces into even more miniscule pieces. I use the front of the spoon to eat some!
Finally, throw some of this onto…just about anything. You can eat it with some delicious chips, shove it into a pita, put it on a veggie burger (or regular burger). Try it, you’ll see!
